Tiago A. Fernandes is currently an Auxiliary Professor at Departamento de Ciências e Tecnologia (DCeT), Universidade Aberta (UAb), lecturing courses related to Chemistry, Sustainability and Environmental Sciences, as well as a researcher at the Center of Structural Chemistry (CQE), Portugal. Tiago A. Fernandes was a Contracted Researcher (CEEC) at CQE through the FCT competitive call for the Stimulus of Scientific Employment. After graduating in Chemistry (2006) and obtaining his MSc (2008) at Faculty of Science of University of Lisbon (FCUL), he completed a PhD in Chemistry (2013) at the Technical University of Lisbon (TULisboa, IST). After completing his PhD, Tiago was a Assistant Professor at Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic), followed by several postdoctoral positions (2014-2019) at CQE/IST and Centro de Química e Bioquímica (FCUL), working with Profs. Alexander Kirillov, Ana Cristina Fernandes, and Maria José Calhorda. He is vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Environmental Sciences at UAb and a co-founder of the MINDlab: Molecular Design & Innovation Laboratory at CQE-IST.
